AUDio SQUADron – the most fun I ever did have in a band.

AUDio SQUADron was a collaboration between myself on bass and electronic doo-dads, John Calverley on violin and mandolin, Dennis Boisvert on drums, Ojas Joshi on Tabla and percussion and Mark Sazavsky on trombone. Influenced by jazz, classical, Indian, country, metal, disco, bleep blorp and whatever else we were in to, we made two records together. It was the most fun I have ever had playing with a group and I miss the project dearly.

This project allowed me to explore the fretless electric bass for the first time. The group featured Kirk Bishop on guitar, Ojas Joshi on Tabla and Udu, John Calverley on Violin and Dennis Boisvert on drums. Combining elements of Indian, classical and jazz was a big departure from what I had been up to at that point. This was a very unique experience for myself and I hope to play this music again one day with these fine gentlemen.
